AIVD SR has more than 30 years of tradition in the field of activities contributing to improving the quality of adult education in Slovakia. Our mission is to bring together adult education institutions and promote their common interests, goals and needs. The AIVD concentrates professional capacities on solving concepts in the field of adult education and cooperates with state authorities and other entities in the preparation and introduction of legislative and other measures in this area. AIVD SR is a member of the European Association for Education of Adults (EAEA).

Peer Learning Activity
The event is intended for Peer Review evaluators, Peer Reviewed institutions and adult education professionals (directors, education managers, lecturers, trainers, counselors, and other adult education employees) involved in project ONE.
Project ONE involved professionals and experts working in the field of Adult Education in training activities and Peer Review visits (the European Peer Review methodology), with the aim to support the elaboration of a strategy for the Capacity Building of Adult Education networks.
Peer review is an alternative to other quality assurance systems that are primarily designed for the corporate/business environment (ISO 9000, EFQM, etc.). It is based on the evaluation of quality by colleagues (peers) from the same or similar professional environment.
Financial instruments to support adult education, such as individual learning accounts, will require quality assurance and control of the institutions involved in the scheme. Slovakia does not yet have a quality assurance system for adult education institutions, and the peer review method can help to build it. The method applies the principles of the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework and focuses on the development and support of institutions in their efforts to offer high-quality educational and counseling services.

Round Table with transnational Peers
Topic 1 – The ONE experience: how the project activities supported Quality Assurance in
training services and offer, and improved the capacity to deal with the topics of guidance,
VNFIL, outreach and basic/transversal skills.
Topic 2 – Recommendations and suggestions from peers for systematising the project
practices in the 3 national networks.
The event will be held in English and is free to attend, but registration is required.
